The 360 degree videos of Amsterdam and the polder were absolutely stunning and provided a lot of insight into how the Netherlands actually looks from the ground. I’ve spent much of this class analyzing the country from the top-down, so the interactive street view was a great new perspective. It really blew me away to see just how many people were biking around; I live in a town with lots of bikers but they’re mainly concentrated on the bike path by the beach. Seeing them throughout the city was very different from what I’m used to. I also couldn’t help but notice the large crowds and lack of masks. Were these videos recent? What’s the state of Covid in the Netherlands?
The polder town you rode through was incredible as well; where was that? The architecture was absolutely gorgeous and that sky was insane. Those videos certainly convinced me I need to visit, though the class pretty much already has.
